In 2019 we were approached by Audi with a very intriguing proposition. They were looking for a unique way to display the iconic R8 used in the Iron Man films at an upcoming exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The goal was to create a real world version of an image titled “Disintegration” by artist Fabian Oefner in which the R8 is pictured with an intact front end and expands into increasingly minute detail as it moves to the rear, giving the illusion of an explosion.
We partnered with Tilt Productions and – working hand in hand with Audi technicians – created an installation that allows visitors to view this automotive masterpiece with a level of detail not possible anywhere else. The car is currently on display at The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles along with the Iron Man suit from the films.
Each year the NFL Player’s Association brings together the most promising young players in the country with NFL scouts and coaches at their Collegiate Bowl event. For the past three years we have been tasked with transforming the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles to create a welcoming and engaging environment for the participants to gather during the week-long event.
Partnering with Brown Paper Design and Plant Library, we have designed and constructed art installations, meeting spaces, stages, recreational lounge areas, and closing parties. Our designs use thoughtfully placed event branding throughout the hotel to add ambiance and guide attendees through the space.
JBL Fest is an annual multi day event in Las Vegas that is part music festival, part product showcase and draws over 24,000 attendees each year. Put on by electronics innovators JBL, the event has included performances by Run DMC, Quincy Jones, Khalid, and Ellie Goulding, among others.
For the last three years we have provided space design and event art to help JBL make this epic event a reality and partnered with Anthemic Agency to deploy brand activations across multiple hotels and concert venues throughout the city.
Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen founded Hilarity For Charity to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. As longterm partners we have handled their design needs from the ground up, from building the organization’s visual identity to creating all event branding and artwork for their annual themed variety shows including programs, signage, stage design, content and animation.
In partnership with event organizers, we have built out a new experience for guests each year, transforming the legendary Hollywood Palladium into an 80’s high school prom, a Halloween party, and a faux bar mitzvah for actor James Franco, among other things. The 2018 event was filmed live and can be streamed on Netflix.
Fernet-Branca is a legendary spirits brand with a rich and beautiful identity. Partnering with Bagavagabonds, we were tasked with bringing this identity to life in a space that could be constructed in a multitude of spaces. Faux subway tile and marble, along with integrated lighting and television screens were used to replicate the feel of a swanky, hip bar, where event goers could sample Fernet cocktails and participate in various brand related experiences. All of this was designed in a way that allowed for easy set up and tear down at a variety of events from music festivals to trade shows. A sculpture of the Fernet-Branca eagle and globe logo was digitally sculpted, 3D printed then handpainted to serve as the center piece of the space.
The d’Arenberg Cube is known throughout Australia as an architectural and cultural landmark. Located at the d’Arenberg winery in Adelaide, The Cube was designed to reflect the complexities and puzzles of wine making. It houses a tasting room, restaurant, and a series of immersive sensory experiences centered around wine making, all with expansive views of the surrounding vineyard.
We partnered with Bagavagabonds to design and build a pop up tasting room inspired by the d’Arenberg Cube, which could be easily constructed and broken down for a series of Australia Day events hosted by Tourism Western Australia. A custom extruded aluminum frame was fitted with custom plexiglass panels we designed mimicking The Cube’s window graphics, creating a fully functioning tasting room with matching bar, and television screens for branded content.
